TENNIS INSTRUCTIONAL CD-ROM FEATURES PROFESSIONAL PLAYERS

Center Court Productions, a multimedia publishing company, has introduced "Acing the Game: Tennis Fundamentals by Michael and Carl Chang."

This interactive CD-ROM contains expert tennis lessons, tips, drills and warm-up exercises demonstrated by former French Open champion, Michael Chang. Currently one of the higher ranking players on the ATP Tour, Michael guides users step-by-step through the lessons with narrated analysis by his brother and coach, Carl Chang, Tennis Magazine's 1996 Coach of the Year.

Designed for both beginners, as well as tennis enthusiasts who want to improve their game, the CD-ROM shows the correct techniques for the forehand, backhand, serve and volley.

Users can interactively point and click their way through the lessons, tips and drills, and view strokes from different camera angles in full-motion, QuickTime color videos. Users can also manipulate the videos with the aid of a control bar, allowing them to easily repeat each one as often as they like, and at speeds they determine.

A "Stadium Viewer" provides users with 13 different camera angles of the strokes -- including full, upper and lower body views -- to analyze each one as they are demonstrated by Michael. And, as part of Carl's narrated analysis, many of the videos are overlaid with hand-drawn illustrations or telestrators, to emphasize specific areas of concentration.

"I am very pleased to be a part of the development of this CD-ROM," said Michael Chang. "Since I became a professional tennis player, I wanted to find a way to share my knowledge and devotion of the game with my fans and give everyone the opportunity to learn tennis."

"We are very proud to offer this CD-ROM to tennis enthusiasts and believe that this product will benefit all tennis players -- whatever level they are at," said Carl Chang. "We also want everyone to enjoy the sport just as we do, and help them realize that learning tennis is fun and easy as long as you have the right guidance."

Acing the Game retails for $39.95. To see a demo of the Forehand and the Stadium Viewer, visit Michael Chang's Web site at http://www.mchang.com/tips/ace/ace.html.
