Michael withdrew from the Lipton Championships in Key Biscayne, FL due to the same injury that kept him out of the Indian Wells tournament--a torn medial collateral ligament in his left knee. He had made the trip to Florida and had even assisted in a charity event with some other pros, including Serena Williams, on Wed. the 18th with the Lipton Company and Winn Dixie stores. They distributed food to ``Feed the Children,'' an organization that helps local feeding centers in South Florida. Michael helped deliver 308,000 pounds of food to 78 local agencies.

Earlier this month, Michael withdrew from the Indian Wells, California, tournament due to a knee injury. Unfortunately, this meant that he has dropped out of the top 10 for the first time in 4 1/2 years.

Also, Michael has committed to playing in Boston, a US Open tuneup, this August.
