Michael's News: May 2000

THIS MONTH: Michael competed in the Italian Open in Rome, where he lost in the second round to Thomas Enqvist. He then competed in Hamburg, Germany, and lost in the first round.

MICHAEL ON JEOPARDY!: No, not as a celebrity contestant, but as a trivia question answer. He was the answer to a $400 question in the Asian American Achievers category. (Unfortunately, I don't know what the actual question was.)

MICHAEL IN SPEEDOS?: Thanks to all of you who actually voted for Michael in this poll. Sports Illustrated for Women magazine asked readers to choose male athletes to model swimsuits in an upcoming issue, and the latest issue features just one tennis player: Mark Philippoussis. However, SI for Women does plan to have more swimsuit issues in the future. When was the last time you saw an Asian male model a swimsuit in an American magazine? Exactly. Write to SI for Women and vote for Michael to be included in next year's issue.
